Introduction:The company, with registered headquarters in Lamballe, France, is a cooperative organization with interests in pork production, slaughter and processing; and production as well as distribution of animal feeds. The company is the Europe's leading integrated pork producer by the industry worldwide. The company was created by a group of farmers in the Lamballe region (Côtes d'Armor) in April of 1996. The company's initial roles were the technical and commercial support of farmers that were undergoing an intensification of their activities. From 1966 to 1978, the company's activities were limited to production organization and held the role of bringing technological assistance to farmers and to market their production. But in 1978, the company took sharing interest in two slaughterhouses: Cooperl Hunaudaye located in Montfort sur Meu (near Rennes, formerly known as 'Benijo') and Cooperl Hunaudaye located in Lamballe, formerly known as 'SA Centre d'Abattage de Lamballe (C.A.L. Lamballe Slaughterhouse). Furthermore, in February 1987, the Company diversified its activities by acquiring SA LOGEAIS in VITRE (Ille-et-Vilaine)--a company specializes in animal feed production.<br>The Company's products include pork's carcasses (whole with head, Brittany-style cut, and Holland-style cut), selected cuts (e.g. leg, loin, belly and shoulder), and a range of finished products (e.g. sausages).<br>The company's production sites are located in Lamballe (Côtes d'Armor), Montfort (Ille et Vilaine), and La Tour du Pin (Isère). The company has offices in United Kingdom, Italy, Russia, and representatives in many other international markets. For the company's sales offices, these are situated in Japan, South Africa, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Russia, Hong-Kong, The Philippines and Singapore.
