Situated in the western Pacific, the Republic of the Philippines is a key trading nation in Southeast Asia. In 2025, Philippines exports reached a total value of US$83.8 billion.
This figure marks a 12.2% increase compared to 2021, when Philippines exports totaled US$74.6 billion. On a year-over-year basis, export performance improved significantly, rising by 14.8% from US$73 billion in 2024.
Based on average exchange rates for 2025, the Philippine peso depreciated by 14.3% against the US dollar compared to 2021, although it edged up by 0.3% from 2024. This weaker currency over the longer term has made Philippines exports more competitively priced for international buyers paying in US dollars.
The Philippines is globally recognized as a leading exporter of bananas, pineapples, and nickel. It is also a major player in Asia's electronics sector, particularly in the export of integrated circuits, which remains its top export category.
