2025-08-18
In 2024, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela exported goods valued at US$13.6 billion to international markets.
That performance marks a 129.8% surge compared with the $5.92 billion recorded in 2020. On a yearly basis, Venezuela's export value jumped 78.4% higher than the $7.63 billion posted in 2023.
Situated on the northern coast of South America, Venezuela shares borders with Guyana (east), Brazil (south), and Colombia (west).
For decades, the country has relied heavily on its oil exports, making its trade balance particularly sensitive to global energy price fluctuations.
With a population of roughly 26.6 million people, the nation's $13.6 billion in exports for 2024 represents about $500 per capita, well above the $280 per person figure from 2023.
