Fragrance products continue to enjoy strong global demand, with total perfumes exports reaching approximately US$34.7 billion in 2025. This represents a significant increase of 55.9% compared to 2021, when global shipments were valued at $22.3 billion. On a year-over-year basis, perfumes exports recorded modest growth of 2.8%, rising from $33.8 billion in 2024.

The leading suppliers in the global perfumes exports market were France, Spain, Italy, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates. Together, these five countries accounted for about 62% of worldwide perfume exports in 2025.

From a regional perspective, Europe dominated perfumes exports, generating $25.1 billion in shipments and capturing 72.3% of the global total. Asia ranked second with an 18.1% share, followed by North America at 6.6%. Smaller contributions came from Latin America (2.2%), excluding Mexico but including Caribbean nations, as well as Africa (0.5%) and Oceania (0.3%), mainly driven by Australia and New Zealand.

For classification purposes, perfumes and toilet waters fall under the Harmonized System (HS) code 3303, which does not include related products such as aftershaves, deodorants, or hair lotions.

8. Netherlands: $1.3 billion (3.7%)

9. Czech Republic: $1 billion (2.9%)

10. Poland: $842.5 million (2.4%)

11. United Kingdom: $793.7 million (2.3%)

12. Mainland China: $640 million (1.8%)

13. Hong Kong: $633.3 million (1.8%)

14. Belgium: $623.7 million (1.8%)

15. Panama: $492.3 million (1.4%)

Collectively, these 15 countries contributed 89.5% of total global perfumes exports in 2025, highlighting a highly concentrated market structure.

Among the major exporters, the fastest growth between 2024 and 2025 was recorded by mainland China (up 25.6%), followed by the Netherlands (up 23.7%), Belgium (up 18%), and Spain (up 15.7%). In contrast, the United Arab Emirates was the only country among the top exporters to experience a decline, with exports falling by 47.9%.
