Global exports of glass and glassware were valued at approximately US$90.1 billion in 2025.

Compared with 2021, when worldwide shipments of glass-related products totaled US$89.9 billion, export revenues increased by a modest 0.3% over the five-year period. Year over year, exports edged up 0.5% from US$89.7 billion recorded in 2024.

Glass, primarily manufactured from silica, is a versatile material widely used across industries. Beyond traditional transparent glass, manufacturers produce a broad range of colored and textured varieties. Exported glass products include architectural and construction glass, mirrors, stained-glass panels, glass tiles, eyewear, containers, and numerous household items such as bottles, jars, and pitchers.

The world's five largest exporters of glass and glassware in 2025 were China, Germany, the United States, France, and Poland. Together, these countries generated 49.7% of total global export sales for glass and glass-related products.
