Global exports of oranges generated approximately US$5.71 billion in 2025, reflecting stable international demand for one of the world's most widely consumed citrus fruits. While long-term export values remained relatively unchanged, stronger trading activity during 2025 contributed to a noticeable year-over-year increase.

Compared with 2021, when worldwide orange exports were valued at US$5.69 billion, the global export market recorded only a modest 0.4% increase over five years. However, exports strengthened in the latest year, rising 6.9% from US$5.34 billion in 2024.

The international orange trade is dominated by a relatively small number of producing countries. The five largest exporters—Spain, South Africa, Egypt, the United States, and the Netherlands—generated approximately 70.9% of global orange export value in 2025.

From a regional perspective, Europe remained the leading exporting region, shipping oranges worth approximately US$2.37 billion, or 41.6% of worldwide exports. Africa ranked second with 34.5%, while North America accounted for 9.4% of global shipments.

Asia contributed 6.4% of worldwide orange exports, while Oceania, led primarily by Australia, represented 4.6%. Latin America and the Caribbean accounted for the remaining 3.5%.

For customs classification, fresh or dried oranges are identified under HS Code 080510.
