Introduction:This privately owned company, which is based in Japan, is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of textile materials. The company, which is majority owned by Katakura Industries Co., Ltd., was set up in August of 1970. Its registered business office is located in Ginza District, Chuo, Tokyo Prefecture. From its Ginza facility, the company exports its products to more than 60 countries and regions, including the United States, European Union (EU), Australia and Asia.<br>The company is the exclusive producer of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) synthetic yarn in the Chuo area. Using the dry-spinning method, it specializes in producing the Solvron yarn which is easily dissolvable by plain warm or hot water with no aid of any chemical agents. This product is mainly used as base-cloth for guipure embroidery, separation yarn for socks and knitted fabrics, and for twistless woven or knitted fabrics.<br>In addition, the company is the producer of NITIVY ALFTM continuous alumina fiber. This product is made up of thousands of fine filaments with a diameter of 7 microns, which gives it excellent flexibility and allows it to be transformed into various textiles without the aid of other fiber or wire inserts. Featuring thermal shock resistance, electrical insulation properties and good chemical resistance, it is used for fabrics, tapes, sleeves, sewing thread, cordage, and thermal insulation rings (disks and collars).
