Exports to Southeast Asia also increased 4.5%, reaching $114.1 billion.
Key Export Industries
1. Semiconductors: Exports soared by 43.9% year-on-year to $141.9 billion, accounting for 20.7% of total exports. This also surpassed the previous record of $129.2 billion set in 2022.
The rebound in memory chip prices and the rapid development of the AI industry are expected to sustain strong semiconductor demand moving forward.
2. Shipbuilding: Exports grew 18% year-on-year to $25.6 billion, driven by high-value-added ships such as LNG carriers and large container vessels.
Additionally, marine engine exports hit a record high, exceeding $900 million, marking the highest level in a decade.
