Export News
2025-08-13
In 2024, Spain exports reached a total value of US $424.3 billion, delivering goods to markets across the globe.
This performance represents a 35.9% increase from the $312.1 billion recorded in 2020. On a year-to-year basis, the value of Spain exports rose modestly by 1%, up from $420.2 billion in 2023.
According to the 2024 average exchange rate, Spain's euro appreciated slightly—just 0.02%—against the US dollar compared to the previous year. This minor currency gain made Spain exports, when priced in US dollars, slightly more expensive for global buyers.
Situated on the Iberian Peninsula in Western Europe, Spain borders Portugal to the northwest, and France and Andorra to the northeast. Its southern region also shares Europe's only land border with Africa, via Morocco.
Spain's top five export products in 2024—cars, refined petroleum oils, packaged pharmaceuticals, auto parts or accessories, and trucks—collectively accounted for 22.2% of total Spain exports.
