Situated in the northwestern corner of South America and bordering Panama to the north, the Republic of Colombia exported goods worth US$49.6 billion worldwide in 2024.

This export value represents a sharp 59.6% increase compared to the $31.05 billion recorded in 2020.

On a yearly basis, however, Colombia's export growth slowed significantly, showing only a 0.02% uptick from $49.5 billion in 2023.

When measured against the 2024 average exchange rate, the Colombian peso strengthened by 5.9% against the US dollar. This appreciation made Colombian products—priced in US dollars—comparatively more expensive for international buyers, especially those purchasing with weaker currencies.
