In 2024, the global trade of fresh grapes generated around US$10.6 billion in export sales.
Compared with 2020, when international shipments of grapes were valued at $9.3 billion, the overall value increased by 14.2%. On a year-over-year basis, the market for exported grapes expanded by 12%, rising from $9.5 billion in 2023.
The leading five grape exporters worldwide were Peru, the Netherlands, Italy, Chile, and mainland China. Together, these nations accounted for 53.6% of total global spending on imported fresh grapes in 2024.

From a continental perspective, Europe led in grape exports with shipments worth $2.97 billion (28% of global total).
In second place was Latin America (excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean), which contributed 26.5% of international grape sales.
