In 2025, the Kingdom of Norway exported goods valued at approximately US$170.5 billion to international markets.

Compared with $160.5 billion recorded in 2021, this represents a 6.2% increase over the five-year period. On a year-to-year basis, export performance remained relatively stable, rising 1.5% from $168.1 billion in 2024.

During the same period, the Norwegian krone strengthened by about 3.5% against the US dollar based on the 2025 average exchange rate. A stronger domestic currency can make Norwegian products slightly more expensive for overseas buyers who purchase goods using US dollars.

The five most valuable export commodities from Norway in 2025 were petroleum gases, crude oil, fresh whole fish, refined petroleum oils, and raw aluminum. Together, these key products generated about 68.6% of the country's total export revenue.

Norway's export structure continues to benefit from strong energy prices. Petroleum gases, crude oil, and refined petroleum products alone accounted for more than three-fifths (60.6%) of total export earnings.
