Croatia, officially the Republic of Croatia, is strategically positioned between Central and Southeast Europe, sharing strong trade connections with Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2025, Croatia's exports reached approximately US$28.5 billion, highlighting the country's growing role in regional and international trade.

This export value represented a 30.4% increase compared with $21.8 billion in 2021. On a year-over-year basis, Croatia's exports also expanded by 9.2% from $26.1 billion in 2024, reflecting continued industrial and manufacturing growth.

The five most valuable products within Croatia's exports in 2025 were processed petroleum oils, medicines in dosage form, electrical converters or power units, electrical energy, and insulated wire or cable. Combined, these products contributed 18.4% of total Croatian export revenue.

Because Croatia uses the euro, currency fluctuations also influenced trade performance. In 2025, the euro appreciated by 4.4% against the US dollar compared with 2024, slightly increasing the international cost of Croatia's exports for overseas buyers using US dollars.
