The Republic of Indonesia continued strengthening its role as one of Asia's largest export-driven economies in 2025. During the year, Indonesia exported goods worth approximately US$282.9 billion to international markets worldwide.
Compared with $231.6 billion in 2021, the total value of Indonesian exports increased by 22.2% over five years. On a year-over-year basis, export revenues also rose by 6.9% from $264.7 billion in 2024.
The five largest buyers of Indonesian products in 2025 were mainland China, the United States, India, Japan, and Singapore. Together, these major markets accounted for more than half (52.2%) of Indonesia's total export earnings.

Regional Distribution of Indonesia's Exports
From a continental perspective, Asia remained the dominant destination for Indonesia's exports. Approximately 70.9% of total export value was shipped to neighboring Asian countries.
North America represented the second-largest regional market, purchasing 12.4% of Indonesia's exports, while European countries absorbed another 10%.
Smaller portions of Indonesian exports were directed toward Africa (3%), Latin America (1.85% excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean), and Oceania (1.85%), led primarily by Australia.

Several countries significantly increased their imports from Indonesia between 2024 and 2025.
Among the fastest-growing markets were:
· Switzerland, with imports surging by 226%
· United Arab Emirates, up 31.6%
· Bangladesh, rising 30.4%
· Brazil, increasing 28.4%
· Egypt, growing by 27%

While many export markets expanded, several countries reduced purchases of Indonesian goods during 2025.

· India, declining 9.9%
