Located on the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exported goods valued at approximately US$305.4 billion worldwide in 2024. Saudi Arabia's export sector continues to play a vital role in the global energy and industrial supply chain, supported by the country's strong oil, petrochemical, and manufacturing industries.
Compared with 2020, when Saudi exports totaled $173.1 billion, this figure represents a strong 76.4% increase over the five-year period.
However, on a year-over-year basis, Saudi Arabia's export revenues declined by 4.9%, down from $321 billion recorded in 2023.

Saudi Arabia's Key Export Markets
According to the latest trade statistics, 71.4% of Saudi Arabia's exported products were purchased by the following major trading partners: mainland China (15.2% of total Saudi exports), South Korea (9.4%), Japan (9.3%), India (8.9%), United Arab Emirates (7.6%), United States (4.2%), Poland (3.5%), Bahrain (3.2%), Egypt (2.8%), Taiwan (2.58%), Singapore (2.51%), and Malaysia (2.13%).
From a regional standpoint, Asian economies accounted for 73% of Saudi Arabia's export sales by value, while Europe absorbed 14.3%. African countries represented another 6.4% of export destinations.
Smaller portions were shipped to North America (4.7%), Latin America excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean (1.1%), and Oceania (0.4%), mainly Australia and New Zealand.
With a population of approximately 35.3 million people, Saudi Arabia's total exports in 2024 equated to roughly $8,700 per resident. This figure was slightly below the $9,100 per-capita export level registered in 2023.

Together, Saudi Arabia's top 10 export sectors contributed 93.1% of the country's total export value, highlighting the strong concentration of Saudi Arabia's export structure.
Among these categories, electrical machinery and equipment recorded the fastest growth, surging 97.6% compared to 2023.
Machinery including computers ranked second with a 50.1% increase in export value, followed by ships and boats, which expanded by 49.3% year over year.
Meanwhile, inorganic chemicals was the weakest-performing category among the top 10 exports, declining by 13.7%.

Mineral fuels and petroleum-based products dominate the country's overseas shipments, while petrochemicals, plastics, fertilizers, and industrial machinery continue gaining international market share.
