Located in the Caribbean Sea, Jamaica exported products worth approximately US$1.15 billion to international markets in 2025.
Compared with 2021, when Jamaican exports totaled $1.48 billion, this represents a 22.6% decline over the five-year period.
On a year-over-year basis, Jamaica's export revenues experienced a significant downturn, falling by 39.9% from $1.91 billion in 2024.
Based on average exchange rates in 2025, the Jamaican dollar strengthened by 1.7% against the U.S. dollar compared to the previous year. A stronger local currency generally makes Jamaican exports more expensive for overseas buyers using American dollars.
Among Jamaica's export products, the five highest-value goods in 2025 were aluminum oxides and hydroxides, aluminum ores and concentrates, alcoholic beverages including spirits and liqueurs, yams and related root vegetables, as well as sauces and mixed seasonings.
Together, these top five export products contributed about 61% of Jamaica's total export earnings.
