Situated where the northern Caribbean Sea meets the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean, Cuba recorded approximately US$1.23 billion in global export shipments during 2025.
Compared with export revenues of roughly $2 billion in 2021, this figure reflects a decrease of -37.3% over the five-year period. On a year-over-year basis, Cuban exports also declined by -11.4% from $1.39 billion in 2024.
Among Cuba's most valuable export commodities in 2025 were cigars and cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, zinc ores and concentrates, nickel matte and oxide sinters, as well as wood charcoal. Together, these five product groups contributed 53.5% of the country's total export earnings, highlighting the concentrated structure of Cuba's export economy.

According to the latest available trade statistics, 40.4% of Cuba's exported goods were purchased by importers in the following countries:

Smaller portions were shipped to North America (4.1%), Oceania (0.3%), and Africa (0.2%).
With a population of approximately 10.9 million people, Cuba's 2025 export value equated to nearly $115 in exports per capita, slightly below the 2024 average of $120 per resident.

Collectively, these top 10 export categories represented 86.5% of Cuba's total export value.
Among them, artworks, antiques and collectibles achieved the strongest growth, surging 383.9% between 2024 and 2025. Beverages and spirits ranked second with a 59% increase, while copper exports rose 49.5%.
Fish exports experienced the steepest decline, falling by -26.5% year over year.
