The international strawberry trade continued to expand in 2025, with exports of fresh and frozen strawberries generating approximately US$6 billion worldwide.
Compared with US$4.91 billion in 2021, global strawberry exports increased by 22.4% over the past five years. On an annual basis, export value also grew steadily, rising 14.8% from US$5.24 billion in 2024.
Known for their vibrant red color, sweet flavor, and distinctive aroma, strawberries remain one of the world's most popular fruits. They are widely consumed fresh and are also used in a variety of processed products, including jams, desserts, yogurt, ice cream, smoothies, juices, and baked goods.

Fresh vs. Frozen Strawberry Exports
Fresh strawberries continued to dominate international trade in 2025, generating US$4.14 billion, equal to 68.9% of total strawberry export value.
Frozen strawberries accounted for the remaining US$1.87 billion, representing 31.1% of global exports.
Compared with 2024:
· Fresh strawberry exports increased 7.9%, rising from US$3.84 billion.
· Frozen strawberry exports grew much faster, surging 33.7% from US$1.4 billion.
