In 2023, global turkey meat exports, including fresh, chilled, and frozen products, were valued at US$2.71 billion. This represents a 6% increase compared to 2019, when total exports were worth $2.58 billion.
However, when compared to the previous year, turkey meat exports saw a slight decline of -4.4%, as shipments were worth $2.84 billion in 2022.
Fresh and chilled turkey meat made up more than half (55.3%) of exports in 2023, while the remaining 44.7% consisted of frozen turkey products.
When broken down by product type, whole turkey exports accounted for just 6%, significantly less than the 94% share held by turkey cuts, pieces, and edible offal.
