Global spending on imported beauty cosmetics and skincare products reached US$79.3 billion in 2025, reflecting continued consumer demand for personal care and beauty products across international markets.
Compared with US$74.6 billion in 2021, worldwide imports of beauty and skincare products increased by 6.3% over the past five years. On a year-over-year basis, import expenditures climbed 5.1%, rising from US$75.5 billion in 2024.
The leading import markets for beauty cosmetics and skincare products in 2025 were China, the United States, Germany, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom. Together, these five economies accounted for 39.4% of total global imports in this product category.

Beauty and Skincare Imports by Region
Asia remained the largest destination for imported beauty and skincare products in 2025, with total purchases valued at US$32.6 billion, representing 41.1% of global imports.
Europe ranked second, accounting for 39.2% of worldwide imports, while North America captured 13.2% of total spending on imported beauty and skincare goods.
Other regions represented smaller shares of global demand:
· Latin America and the Caribbean (excluding Mexico): 3.0%
· Oceania: 1.9%, led by Australia and New Zealand
