Global spending on imported automotive parts and accessories reached US$450.5 billion in 2025.
Compared with US$408.2 billion in 2021, worldwide imports of vehicle components increased by 10.4% over the five-year period.
On a year-over-year basis, imports edged up by 0.5%, rising from US$448.5 billion in 2024.
The United States, Germany, Mexico, Canada, and France remained the world’s largest importers of automotive parts in 2025. Together, these five markets accounted for 45.1% of total global expenditures on imported auto components and accessories.
From a regional perspective, Europe represented the largest importing market, purchasing US$204.9 billion, equivalent to 45.5% of worldwide automotive parts imports. North America ranked second with a 30.1% share, followed by Asia at 17.7%.
Smaller portions were attributed to Latin America (3.7%, excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean), Africa (2.2%), and Oceania (0.8%), led primarily by Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.
For trade classification purposes, automotive parts and accessories are identified under Harmonized System (HS) code 8708.

Collectively, these 15 countries represented 71.9% of total global automotive parts imports in 2025.
