BYD is on track to achieve the major milestone of exporting one million vehicles in 2025. According to the latest industry data released on December 23, BYD exported 128,067 passenger vehicles in November 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 313.4% and a month-on-month rise of 59.9%.

From January to November 2025, BYD exported a total of 878,498 vehicles, up 144% compared with the same period last year. This figure already exceeds more than double BYD's total vehicle exports for the full year of 2024.
Chery Automobile maintained its position as China's leading vehicle exporter in November, with exports of 135,190 units. Meanwhile, BYD is rapidly closing the gap, ranking second in monthly export volumes.

In 2025, BYD surpassed Tesla in vehicle sales across 11 major automotive markets, including key European countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Ireland, as well as Asian markets including Malaysia, Türkiye, Singapore, Thailand, and China.
As of December 2025, BYD's new energy vehicles had been sold in 119 countries and regions worldwide. On December 18, BYD celebrated another milestone as its 15 millionth new energy vehicle rolled off the production line, making it the first automaker to reach this achievement.
BYD exported 878,498 vehicles in the first 11 months of 2025, including 128,067 units in November alone. This strong momentum indicates that even if December exports merely match November's level, BYD's total vehicle exports for 2025 are almost certain to surpass the one-million-unit mark.
In terms of volume, BYD still trails China's leading vehicle exporter, Chery. However, this gap warrants close attention for two reasons: first, Chery's exports are primarily internal combustion engine vehicles, while BYD focuses on new energy vehicles; second, the difference between BYD's and Chery's November export figures was relatively small. As a result, it would not be surprising if BYD were to overtake Chery in export volumes in December.
